After the basmala and the hamdala: As for what follows, when the Arabic tongue had tongues and taught it the best of languages, the Qur’an was revealed in its tongue, and poetry was more honorable than speech, and it was the cultured one for its news, verses, wisdom, and all other virtues that were unique to it.
