Notes
A message without a title or the name of its author. But its beginning agrees with what was stated in the disclosure of suspicions that attributed it to Ibn al-Muayyad. In the Sulaimaniyah index, it is for: “Muayyad Zadeh, Abd al-Rahman bin Ali bin Othman.” He has a translation in Al-A’lam 3/318 by Al-Zirikli, who stated that he died in the year 922 AH, and it agrees with him being a contemporary of Bayezid, because the author mentioned in the introduction to his letter that he wrote it in the service of Sultan Bayezid for him to consider. It is an unedited copy, with a few comments in its margins.
Sample Text
Glory be to You, O God, who has bestowed upon the human race the lights of knowledge... And after that: This is a summary in which I collected a summary of what came to the dull mind and ailing mind, while reading the topics of discussion with my friends and those celebrating me from among the students, and with it I served Sami, a group of those whom God Almighty has bestowed with the merits and benevolence and the utmost gratitude for what was not given to me.
