Notes
The author says that he spent his life working in the science of medicine, and wrote long books covering most of its principles, and medium books containing most of its explanations... such as the summary of the law, the purpose of the needy, the rules of problems, the spectrum of the method, the investigation of ills, the healer of diseases and ailments, and the explanation of the systems of law. He even decided not to write in this art in writing, and not to write a notebook or a spread, until his chest reached a strange book arranged in a pattern. It is strange and the likes of which have never been seen before... Then he talks in this book about some of the sciences related to medicine, and their status, mentioning their benefits. The book is divided into an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion. As for the introduction, it enumerates the sciences, the state of medicine with them, their status, and the benefits related to that. Chapter One: On the universals of this science and the introduction to it. Chapter Two: On the laws of individuals and composition, its general ages, and what it should be in terms of service such as crushing, washing, collecting, individuals, ranks, stairs, and the descriptions of the section, softener, and opener, and so on. Chapter Three: On vocabulary and compounds and what relates to them in terms of noun, nature, rank, benefit and harm... arranged according to the letters of the dictionary. Chapter Four: On diseases and the treatment related to them, and the extension of the aforementioned sciences, and the benefits related to knowledge, and the moods that suit it, and what is inherent in treatment. Conclusion: In jokes, strange things, wonders, and kindness. The book has been greatly distorted, as we find writings left behind in the margins, and many of the pages are framed irregularly. Note: Of the book, in addition to these copies, there are three copies mentioned by Dr. Sami Hamarneh in his index, their numbers - 3131 - 3132 - 3133 - and they appeared in his index on pages 399 - 405.
