The knowledge of the principles of jurisprudence is one of the most useful sciences for those who are fair... and one of its best summaries is the book Al-Minhaj fi Arriving at the Science of Principles, which was compiled by Judge Nasser Al-Din Abdullah bin Omar bin Muhammad Al-Baydawi... At this time, my son Abu Hamid began working on it... so I wanted to write an explanation for it so that he and others could benefit from it... and I called it Al-Ibhaj fi Sharh Al-Minhaj.
