The sheikhs differed regarding wiping the neck, and Abu Bakr Al-Amash, may God have mercy on him, said: It is a Sunnah, and Abu Bakr Al-Iskaf, may God have mercy on him, said: It is etiquette (Khuff). The difference between etiquette and the Sunnah is that the Sunnah is what the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, practiced regularly.
