Notes
The text is followed, and the copyist said in the space: (The compiler blackened this text at the end of Rajab Al-Murjab of the year one thousand and six of the Prophet’s Hijra, then he whitened it and completed it in the battle of the conquest of Ostrogon. May God protect him from the calamities of the future with distraction of mind and much preoccupation with consultation and opinion on the causes of conquest and victory and managing the conditions of the military with the great vizier Al-Muzaffar Al-Ghazi Muhammad Pasha, may God facilitate him with whatever good he wills at the end of Jumada Al-Awwal. For the year one thousand and fourteen, the author completed the drafting of this explanation after the conquest and return in the early Rajab of the month of the Psalms year in the castle of Usk, then about its whitewashing and completion with the help of God Almighty and its favor in the castle of Aqhisar, which was protected from the hurricanes in the beginning of Shawwal of the year one thousand and fifteen, and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
Sample Text
The poorest of creation to the Creator, the Creator, the most despised servant, is sufficient, Al-Aqhasari, may God protect him with His pleasure, be pleased with him, and please Him. He says: It is not hidden from every person with understanding and insight that the first thing that is obligatory for rational human beings is to know God Almighty through reasoning and consideration, then to be guided to goodness and abstain from evil, and this does not come except by faith in God and His attributes.
