As for what follows: Muslim, may God have mercy on him, narrated in his Sahih.. that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Religion is sincere, religion is sincere, religion is sincere.. So we wrote a treatise covering the foundations of the religion and its branches.. Then when I saw most of the people’s hearts were hardened.. and an indication came to me.. to write a treatise on this matter.
