Notes
The types, headings of poverty, and names of the surahs are written in red. In the margins there are many corrections and various explanations, some in large font, and on the first sheet is a group of excerpts in praise of Al-Suyuti and his book. Two indexes were attached to the book: the first listed the types found in the book, with details of each type in black and red ink. The second was compiled by Mr. Ahmad al-Diyarbakli. This index is arranged alphabetically, and in it he talks about what was mentioned in this book and in others. On the last paper, a reading entry was recorded in the name of Ahmad al-Diyarbakli in the year 1235.

Praise be to God, who sent down to His servant the Book, an insight for those of understanding, and entrusted it with the wondrous arts of science and wisdom, and made it the most sublime of books in value, the most abundant in knowledge, the most pure in organization, and the most eloquent in speech. An Arabic Qur’an that is neither crooked nor distorted, without similarities or confusion
