Notes The indexer mentioned that the first thing that comes to mind regarding the author’s name is the name of Abu al-Walid Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Rushd, the grandson who died in 595 AH/1198 AD. However, he did not find a mention of this arjūza in any of the approved references, and this Ibn Rushd was not one of the authors of arjūza and it is not known that he worked in chemistry. The number of verses in the copy: 150. Al-Nazim explains his method of presenting the subject, saying: I have made clear what they concealed in the metres*** with every possible explanation I mentioned intentionally or incidentally*** I have completed the purpose I dictated in it, revealing in it the secret of what had been missed*** Whoever investigates its understanding will mark the copyist’s books in each line with two verses at the front and bottom, dividing the two parts with three dots in the shape of a triangle. In the margin of the copy, there is a correction or explanation of the meaning of some terms.
