Notes	One of the five famous books circulated among the Shafi'is and the most widely circulated, as stated by Al-Nawawi in his book Al-Tahdhib, the last leaf of which is that: The Sheikh began compiling Al-Tanbih in the month of Ramadan in the year 452 AH, and finished it in Shaban in the year 453 AH. Two years later he began compiling Al-Muhadhdhab and stayed there for fourteen years. The doors and search entrances are in red ink with a large pen.
