Notes	The author mentions in his preface that when he reviewed the book “The Suspect” by Al-Hafiz Abu Abdullah Al-Dhahabi: “He found in it shortcomings in three aspects, one of which was achieving its accuracy, because it referred to the control of the pen. And he sought God’s help “in shortening what he elaborated on” and extending what he was unfair in shortening, and the intention was to “liberate the doubtful,” meaning the names and ratios are doubtful. It deals with corrections in names and genealogies and their definition, in the biographies of a large group of hadith scholars, as well as in their narrations, and it is arranged according to the letters of the dictionary in the Levantine manner. This book was mentioned in: Brockelmann:. S.II 73. G.II 68.
