Notes	The message is from the sayings of his sheikh Ali Al-Khawas (d. 939 AH / 1532 AD). There are three forms of this book: “Al-Jawahir wal-Durar Al-Sughra,” “Al-Jawahir wal-Durar Al-Mousta,” and “Jawahir wal-Durar Al-Kubra.” He collected and explained them in the year 940 AH/1533 AD. The text is surrounded by a double border in red ink, and there are some corrections in the margins.
Sample Text	And after this, these are words that God Almighty revealed to me at different times. They would come to me at night and during the day, and perhaps I would write what came in the dark for fear of missing out. My sheikh forbade me from that and said: Do not hasten yourself into anything, for whatever God wants to be permanent, confirm it... and I called it “Jewels and Pearls.”
