The letter of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to Heraclius: Muslim, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that Sufyan told him from within it. He said: I set off during the period that was between me and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said: While we were in the Levant, a letter was brought from the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to Heraclius. He said: And it was Dihya al-Kalbi. He brought it. So he gave him to the Great of Busra, and the Great of Busra gave him to Heraclius, and Heraclius said: Is there anyone here from the people of this man who claims to be a prophet? They said: Yes
