Notes
There is a restriction on the manuscript: O reader of the handwriting, and the eyes (correct eyes) look at it... Do not forget who wrote it in God, remember him, and grant him a sincere supplication to God... Perhaps it will benefit him in the beginning of time. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, and grant him eternal peace. Muhammad bin Ahmad al-Shirbini (977 AH/1570 AD), the Cairo-Shafi’i, known as al-Khatib al-Shirbini (Shams al-Din), a jurist, interpreter, theologian, grammarian, and morphologist. He died on the 2nd of Sha’ban. He wrote many books, including: Persuasion in the Solution of Abu Shuja’a’s Words. There is a manuscript of Sheikh Awad Ali Al-Khatib’s report in the Al-Qamhawi Library in Nablus under No. (7), and the manuscript number in the Catalog of Al-Qamhawi Manuscripts in Nablus is 1: 1. There is another photocopied copy in the King Abdul Aziz University Library, No. 1380, minus 10 pages copied in the year 1286 AH.
