The book is a long narrative that the compiler opens by mentioning the honor of the family of the Prophet and their pure characteristics. He begins their lineage from Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein, and the sons and descendants of each of them, generation after generation, and divides it into chapters, until he reaches the beginning of the Moroccan Alawite Sijilmasid dynasty, recording its lineage from Al-Sharif bin Ali, the son of Mawla Muhammad Ali, and proceeding with it successively until the end of the eleventh century.
