The book is a collection of various sources, which may be handwritten by the author. On folios 142b and 143b: Yusuf Diya al-Din al-Khalidi’s meeting with the Khalidi family in the Turkish city of Isa’rad and his acquaintance with their lineage, papers, and this book. It appears that the event took place in the year 1293 AH. Papers: 143b, 145a, Firman of Izzat Pasha to the Khalidian family in Isa’rad in the year 1272 AH, which is in Ottoman Turkish. On folios: 145b, 147b another decree similar to the one mentioned above, and on folios 148a, 151b are the author’s translation and poems in praise of Khalid ibn al-Walid. On paper 1a is what it says: “This is the most desirable book called: Badr al-Farid, which contains the secrets, conquests, and conquests of our grandfather Khalid bin al-Walid, may God be pleased with him, the glorious, and brings together the virtues and dignity of our famous master al-Ghawth al-A’zam, the famous Hamza al-Kabir, and the dignity of his noble son al-Ghawth, Sheikh Ibrahim al-Mujahid, and the dignity of our grandfather Sheikh Musa, and the dignity of Sheikh Sharaf al-Din, Sheikh Abd al-Wahhab, and Sheikh Alam al-Din, sanctified their secret, and bestowed blessings upon the Muslims. Those who read and listen are the best... Written in the year 1306.”

As for what follows, when I saw the abundance of the souls of the Father of virtues and generosity, the bearer of the stern sword, the knight of the knights and the soldier of the brave, the mighty sword of God and the chosen companion of the Prophet... Khalid bin Al-Walid... my heart yearned to serve the presence of our grandfather, referred to in the collection of his conquests, conquests and conquests.
