Surah Al-Qasas is Meccan and has eighty verses... (...of the news of Moses and Pharaoh...) is the object of “recite”, meaning: We recite to you some of their news “with the truth” in truth, as in His saying “... it sprouts with oil...”, “... for a people They believe (for those who previously taught us that he believes, because the recitation only benefits these people and not others), “Indeed, Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into sects. He oppressed a group of them and slaughtered their sons. And he keeps their women ashamed. Indeed, he was one of the mischief-makers. (Pharaoh is a resumed sentence, like an explanation of the general meaning, as if he was saying, “He said, and how was their prophecy?”
