Notes
The copyist wrote the text in black ink and wrote the names of the poets in red ink, and many comments and explanations appear in its footnotes in different handwriting. Copies: Among them is a copy in the Ahmed Hassan Al-Attas Library in the city of Huraydha, Yemen, and at least 22 copies, mentioned by Muhammad Ali Al-Hashemi in his investigation of it, vol. 1/67-79, and including a copy in the Rifa’a Al-Tahtawi Library in Sohag 39 Literature.

(Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may His blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his followers) This is the book of the collection of poems of the Arabs in pre-Islamic times and Islam, who criticized and praised God, and the Qur’an was revealed in their tongues, and Arabic was derived from their words, and evidence in the meanings of the Hadith and the Qur’an was taken from their poetry... and we mention in our book this what was brought by the transmitted reports and the poems preserved from them.
