We thank God for his success, and we ask him to guide him on his path, and we send blessings upon his Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all of his progeny. As for what follows: This is a treatise on logic, in which we have mentioned what must be remembered for whoever begins in any of the sciences, seeking help from God, for He is the bestower of goodness and generosity, and we called it “isagogi”: the word denoting the situation. It indicates the completion of what was assigned to him
