Notes - About the author: It was written in Turkish by: Suleiman Faiq Bey (d. 1314 AH = 1896 AD). Translated into Arabic by: Muhammad Hulusi al-Nasiri. - This is followed by an index of the topics. - A photocopy of a handwritten copy in the graduate studies bookcase at the College of Arts, University of Baghdad. - Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Hasani supervised its publication, and published it with an introduction (pp. 3-5): (Al-Ma’arif Press - Baghdad 1961, 90 pages). We discussed - briefly - its news and effects, in footnote (3) of the book “History of the Mamluks al-Kula Mand” in Baghdad: No. (20/History). The card with ID number 218436 on the digital portal. It was stated in it: “The author Suleiman Faiq Bey is one of the nobles of Baghdad. He was a great historian and literary writer, and his pen skills in the Turkish language were exceptional. He held important positions and achieved prominence in the Ottoman Empire. He wrote a large number of works - in the Turkish language - all related to the history of Iraq in the later eras. Today they are housed in the library of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad. See: (“Historical manuscripts in the bookcase of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad,” p. 51). (H7.) Among his children: Mahmoud Shawka Pasha, Wisdom of Suleiman. His information is in: (“Al-Zawraa” issue 1698, in Rajab in the year 1314 AH), and (“The History of Iraq between Two Occupations” 8:114, (121, 127 - 128). In the library of the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad, a manuscript, entitled “A Translation of Suleiman Bey, His Father, and His Son.” He is Suleiman Faiq Bey, whose father is Hajj Talib Agha Katkhuda of Baghdad (d. 1830 AD), and his son Numan Bey (d. 1914 AD), the author’s name is not mentioned, and it is in the handwriting of Sayyid Mahmoud Shukri Al-Alusi, and perhaps it is his and it was not printed. It was published by him and transferred to Arabic, with an introduction (p. 6 - 7) He reviewed the book and commented on it with a number of comments and attached to it: Appendix One: Reasons for calling Al-Muntafiq by this name.
