The book is an abbreviation of the book “Al-Tibyan, a satire of the Qur’anic copies of the Commander of the Faithful, Othman bin Affan.” It was stated in Ghayat al-Nihayah by Ibn al-Jazari that the name of this book is “Al-Tabyin Lihja’ al-Tanzeel,” and it was mentioned in the index of manuscripts of Dar al-Kutub al-Zahiriyah (Ulum al-Qur’an, p. 351) in the description of a copy of the Book of Tanzeel preserved in this house that it is the only copy in the world. It has now become clear that there are two copies in the Hasani treasury, two of which are Andalusian. The conclusion is followed by a restriction that includes counting the number of surahs of the Qur’an, its verses, words, and letters.
