Notes Perhaps the author is Mullah Ilyas bin Ibrahim bin Dawud bin Khidr al-Kurdi (1047-1138 AH / 1627-1726 AD). (As in the case of 2/310 onwards). The compiler composed these footnotes based on the explanation of the scholar Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Arab Shah, known as Issam al-Din al-Isfaraini, of the treatise al-Tashriyyah fi Metaphors developed by Abu al-Layth al-Samarqandi. Mullah Ilyas collected these footnotes from the words of the learned imams such as Yusuf al-Asam, Jami al-Kurani, his sheikh Ali, Zayn al-Din, al-Sharanshi, and others... He mentions in their introduction that when he says: In the footnote of al-Fadil, he means the scholar Ali bin Sadr al-Din bin Issam al-Din. In the copy, spaces were left between the lines to accommodate the word (saying), which is used with padding. Perhaps the copyist left them in order to write the word in red later. He left a 5 cm wide margin with some corrections.
Sample Text After the basmala: Praise be to God, the First and the Last, who protects the people of his guardianship from the machinations of Satan and reprehensible thoughts
