Notes In the book, the author addresses the health aspects of pigeons, and also talks about its benefits and harms, mentioning some of the soothing compounds of the acacia that Galen described for pigeons. The book consists of an introduction, seven chapters, and a conclusion. These are the sections of the book: Introduction: On the definition of pigeons, its subject, and the first creator of it. Chapter One: How to take a bath and what it should be like. Chapter Two: On bathroom vocabulary. Chapter Three: On the benefits of the bathroom. Chapter Four: On the harms of pigeons. Chapter Five: On the rulings on entering the bathroom, how to bathe, and what one should do until going. Chapter Six: What should be done when one wants to go out until the end of time attributed to pigeons, which is called averting harm among them. Chapter Seven: On the rulings on bathing in cold water and the benefits and harms it entails. Conclusion: In a summary of the compounds we picked up from the acacia that Galen described for pigeons. The author states that he wrote this treatise in response to a request for refuge from teachers and disciples...the Sun of the World and the Religion, Muhammad al-Bakri, and he called it al-Tuhfa al-Bakri, after al-Bakri.
