The Shafi’is said: The Kaaba is a name for the house built of stone, mud, and wood made for prostrating to it and worshiping it to God Almighty. According to the Hanafis and the majority of imams, it is a name for the specific spot with the air that occupies this specific place from under the earth to the highest throne.
