Notes
The author is one of the preachers. And the famous Moroccan revolutionaries. He was born, as he tells us, in the year 967 AH, and he tells us in his book about his sheikhs, the famous scholars he learned from him, and about his studies in Fez. And his inclusion under the method of Sheikh Abu Yazza, then he goes on to talk about the Mahdi and the Mahdi, and refers thereby to Al-Mahdi bin Tumart, and to Sheikh Muhammad bin Salman Al-Jazouli, the Mahdi of his time, and after that he sympathizes with the hadith of the Fatimid, and the hadiths and famous sayings mentioned about him and the appearance of the Qa’im, then he mentions the sheikhs he met on his first eastern journey, and finally deals with what “he witnessed of events, whether heavenly or earthly,” and mentions His signs that he uses. We add to that that the aforementioned Ibn Mahli ended up claiming to be the awaited Fatimid Mahdi, and many crowds gathered around him and he was able to seize Draa and Sijilmasa. He initially defeated the forces of Sultan Moulay Zidane, but he was eventually defeated and killed in the year 1022 AH. This book was mentioned in: Brockelmann: G. II 464.
