Notes
The manuscript is an explanation of the verses of “Al-Takbir upon Overnighting” by Jalal al-Din Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Bakr al-Suyuti. He explained them, and Muhammad bin Ismail al-Amir added some verses to them to supplement the interest. He distinguished this addition with the word “chapter” in the first of his additions of verses that he finished composing in the year 1167 AH. He included the verses of al-Takbir in red ink and the explanation in black ink. Al-Suyuti’s poem mentioned in Al-Targheeb, followed by another poem of his also called “Gloomy Good News of the Meeting of the Beloved” in Al-Targheeb and also explained by Muhammad Al-Amir, ed.
Sample Text
After the basmala and the praise, and after: It has been proven and repeated that the dead person gives a fatwa after his death by asking him, and the angels ask him, so the happy one is the one whom God confirmed in his statement.
