Notes
The copyist wrote the text generally in black ink, and used dull red ink to write proper names and titles, on a newly made ink. The first and last is the seal of Habib Kanj’s library. This copy of ours was briefly described in the Aligarh Catalog: Descriptive Catalog 2/358 with the same preservation number. Copied by: See Brockelmann Appendix 1/273, including a copy in Al-Dhahiria No. 3477, and another in Khuddabakhsh Index 30/87.
Sample Text
(Praise be to God, who has no limited limit...) God chose Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, from among His servants, and extracted him for Himself from His country, so He sent him to His creation with the truth as a bringer of good tidings, and from the people to those who stray from His path, as a warner, to call the creation from His servants to worship Him, and from following the path to obedience to Him.
