The first message in it. - In («Dictionary of Arabic and Arabized Publications», p. 1337): «A footnote to the explanation of the categories: al-Masma bi al-Jawāhir al-Muqālat fi Aqād al-Maqāwalat, both by Sheikh Ahmad al-Saja’i, and in its margin is the aforementioned explanation (philosophy): Egypt 1282 AH, Al-Sharafiya 1303 AH. - The author was born in Cairo and grew up there. His family origins from Morocco. He was Abu Attara, so he first used his son in his affairs, then he saw in him a desire for science, so he helped him acquire it and he excelled in it. He was a miracle in sharp eyesight and keen intelligence. - He lived in Damascus for some time, and lived in Ishkodra in Albania. Then he returned to Egypt, where he undertook the establishment of the Egyptian Gazette, at the beginning of its publication, then teaching at Al-Azhar, then his sheikhdom in the year 1246 AH. He became close to Muhammad Ali. He used to work well at night and day laboratories. He wrote a treatise on “How to Work with the Astrolabe, the Arched Quarters, the Mujib, and the Simple.” He left good works in the linguistics. Ahmed Al-Husseini dedicated ten pages to his translation: “Murshid Al-Anam” and it is still in manuscript.

Abu Al-Saadat Hassan bin Muhammad Al-Attar says: When I placed the major footnote on our master, the scholar Sayyid Al-Bulaidi, may God have mercy on him, and then I began to... the sayings of our Sheikh, the scholar Ahmed Al-Saja’i, may God have mercy on him, I put a footnote on it that caused some difficulty that is not appropriate for the beginner, and after the call with the brothers, things appeared to me that were not written in the footnote, so I was afraid of losing them, so I intended to put this footnote.
