Notes A complete copy in two parts. This part is from the chapter on the virtues of the Ansar until the end of the Sahih. This copy is copied from a copy written in the year 669 AH/1270 AD. It was stated at the end of the second part: “What is stated in the original handwriting is the end of the part, which is the end of the Sahih book. Praise be to God alone, and may His prayers be upon our Master Muhammad, the Prophet of the Unlettered, and upon his family and his good and pure companions, and may his peace be upon you, Amen, O God, Amen. It was transmitted by Muhammad bin Abdul Majeed bin Zaid in the last period on Sunday, the eighteenth of the holy month of Ramadan in the year six hundred and sixty-nine.”
Sample Text Chapter on the virtues of the Ansar: “And those who settled in the land and the faith before them love those who emigrated to them, and do not find in their breasts any need for what they were given.” Musa bin Ismail told us. Mahdi bin Maimoun and Ghailan bin Jarir said: I said to Anas: Did you see the name of the Ansar? Were you called by it or did God name you? He said, “Rather, God named us just as we go to Anas and he tells us about the merits of the Ansar and their scenes. He comes to me and to a man from the Ezra and says what your people did on such and such day, so and so.”
