After the basmala and the praise, as for what follows, the one who seeks forgiveness, Muhammad ibn Ali al-Sabban, says, “May God forgive his sins, and his faults will be healed by both worlds”: These are honorable footnotes, noble and honorable reports, superior investigations, and brilliant verifications with which the scholar Nour al-Din Abi al-Hasan Ali al-Ashmouni’s commentary on the Alfiyyat of Imam Ibn Malik served the entire service.
