After the basmala and the hamdala: As for what follows, Ibn Salim al-Bunsi, of Ibadi lineage, has been a Tijani for forty years, and he was prominent in his claim, giving flowers, and believing in the sheikh of Tijani, to the point that he used to say that because of his excessive glorification of him, the superiority of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq over Sheikh al-Tijani, may God be pleased with him, did not appear to me, as a large group of his governors told me.
