Notes This is the author as mentioned at the end of the first part. The author mentioned that “when he saw the book of Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Ali bin Thabit, which he called “the sequel to my book Abu Al-Hasan Ali bin Muhammad Al-Daraqutni.” And Abu Muhammad Abd al-Ghani bin Saeed al-Azdi in al-Mu’talif wa al-Mutafila’ and the book of Abd al-Ghani bin Sa’id in: “The Suspect of Attribution,” and I found that he included things that he did not mention. He repeated what he had mentioned, one or both of them. He attributed them to mistakes in things in which they had not made a mistake. He left mistakes of theirs that he did not point out, and he misunderstood names that were based on mistakes. I chose to work in this art a book that combined what was in their books and what was deviated from them, and omitted what was not problematic. When they mentioned, and I remember what one of them thought was correct, I began seeking reward by doing it... hoping for reward by summarizing it, as it was of the greatest help to the seeker of knowledge in knowing the names, lineages, and titles that were suspected of him. Explaining disputed and suspicious lineages, as well as mentioning surnames and fathers. In this way, it is similar to the book “Al-Kamal fi Ma’rifat Al-Rijal” by Al-Hafiz Abdul-Ghani Al-Maqdisi. His refinement is by Al-Hafiz Jamal Al-Din Yusuf bin Al-Zaki Al-Mazzi, and his refinement is by Al-Hafiz Shams Al-Din Al-Dhahabi, (see card No. 6754, with identification number 95531 on the digital portal).
