He said: The sheikh al-Hafiz Abu al-Fadl Muhammad bin al-Nasir bin Muhammad al-Nasir bin Muhammad bin Omar al-Salami and the jurist Abu Al-Hasan Saad Al-Khair bin Muhammad bin Sahl Al-Ansari had a reading over them on Safar in the year five hundred and thirty-two, and he acknowledged it. They said: Sheikh Abu Al-Hussein Al-Mubarak bin Abdul-Jabbar Al-Sayrafi told us that it was read over on Friday, the fifteenth of Safar, in the year four hundred and ninety-one, so he acknowledged it. He said, Abu Muhammad Al-Hassan bin Ali bin Muhammad Al-Jawhari told us that it was read over, and I heard it in Muharram in the year four hundred and fifty-one. He said, Abu Omar Muhammad bin Al-Abbas bin Zakaria bin Hayyat Al-Kharaz told us that it was read over on the day of Wednesday, the middle of the month of Ramadan in the year eighty-three hundred and one. He said: Abu al-Hasan al-Razzaz, may God Almighty have mercy on him, recited it to Abu Ubayd Allah Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Hakimi in the year thirty-four, and I was present listening. He said: Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Yahya Tha’lab informed us on the authority of Ibn al-A’rabi. Al-Razzaz read it while I was present and listening to Abu Omar Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahid Ghulam Thalab on the meaning of authentication.
