The author was named Al-Kharqi after a village in Merv. He was an associate scholar who wrote on history, astronomy, and mathematics. He died in Marw in Khorasan, among his works. Insight into the science of form, the comprehensive message in arithmetic, the ultimate understanding in the division of the spheres. And others. He based his book on the approach of Ibn al-Haytham’s book on the division of the spheres and presented it to Abu al-Hussein Ali bin Nasir al-Din Mahmoud bin al-Muzaffar al-Wazir. In it, he summarized his book, Muntaha al-Idrak, and arranged it into two parts: The first section: in mentioning what concerns the explanation of the structure of the spheres and the positions of one another, and he made it into 22 chapters in explaining the bodies and divisions of the spheres, and the proofs of the sphericity of the spheres and what is related to them in terms of movement and astronomical phenomena such as eclipses and eclipses. This section included schematic pictures of the lunar orbit, the circle of elevation, and some other astronomical figures. The second section: In mentioning what concerns the form of the earth and how it is divided into general and non-general. It is arranged in 14 chapters, mentioning the shape of the Earth, its sphericity, the seven regions, and the properties of the equator. A precious copy.
