Notes This book is called “The Little Advice,” it is called “The Golden Collars,” and it is called the “Book of Articles,” and it consists of one hundred recorded articles on asceticism, admonition, wisdom, and advice. This book has ten other copies mentioned in the Sulaimaniyah Index Computers, all with this name, including Asaad Effendi’s copy, No. 2519, bearing the title of the book and the author’s name on (its horoscope) the title page. Among them is Fadil Ahmad Pasha, No. 1210/1, bearing the title inside the text. Among them is Asher Effendi’s copy, No. 416/17, and the Jorlulu Ali Pasha Library’s copy, No. 443/23, including Hafez’s copy. Effendi, No. 275/1, does not have the author’s name on it. Likewise, the head copy of the book, No. 748/1, does not have the author’s name on it. Including Rashid Effendi’s copy, No. 716/1, has the title and the author’s name on the title page in text script. They all start with the same introduction. But what Haji Khalifa mentioned, that the author mentions his surname at the beginning of each article, does not agree with what is in the book. This is an updated copy. Then ten blank pages. In the text, some vowels were placed incorrectly. It appears that they were from the copyist, who may have been Persian.
Sample Text Oh God, I thank you for your grace that you have humbled, and for your wrath that you have removed from me, even though I was not worthy of the first, and I would have been more deserving of the second, had it not been for your grace... His saying is, what a person reduces his lack of wealth and completes it if his religion and knowledge elevate it, and his money and family does not elevate it if his immorality lowers it.
