Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, said that it was Meccanism that descended in Mecca all at once at night, and it was attended by seventy thousand angels who had a zajal, that is, a voice of praise, praise, and glorification until the earth almost shook, so the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Glory be to my Lord the Great, Glory be to my Lord the Great,” and he fell down prostrating, and it was narrated with a chain of transmission traceable to him that he said: “Whoever recites Surah Al-An’am, those seventy thousand angels will pray for him night and day.”
