Abu al-Baqa Ali ibn Uthman ibn Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn al-Fasih, may God forgive him: Praise be to Him, abundant praise, saves me from his torment, and prayers and peace be upon the Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions. As for what follows: The visionary poem composed by Imam Abu Muhammad Qasim ibn Faizo ibn Khalaf ibn Ahmad al-Shatibi in knowledge of the drawing of the Uthmani Qur’an. Some of my friends asked me to explain its words to him without lengthening, just as I explained the Lamiā poem titled “Hurz al-Amānī.”
