Chapter on hastening the breaking of the fast: Abdullah bin Yusuf told us: Malik told us on the authority of Abu Hazim on the authority of Sahl bin Saad, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “People will continue to be well as long as they hasten breaking the fast.” Ahmad bin Yunus told us, Abu Bakr told us, on the authority of Sulaiman, on the authority of Ibn Abi Awfa, may God be pleased with them both, who said: I was with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, on a journey, and he fasted until evening. He said to a man: “Come down and do good deeds for me.”
