Notes A photocopy of a handwritten copy in the library of the Iraq Museum in Baghdad. - In (Al-A’lam, 4: 87): “Al-Zawra’ Park: Three major parts in the history of Baghdad.” Dr. achieved Safaa Hulusi (Part One) of it, which is in the biography of Hassan Pasha. It was published under the title “The History of Baghdad by Ibn al-Suwaydi, or Al-Zawra’ Garden in the Biography of the Ministers”: (Baghdad 1962, 32 pp. introduction to the editor + 120 pp. text + 8 pp. indexes). That means Dr. Imad Abdel Salam Raouf edited the entire book, adopting the British Museum’s copy, and a photocopy of it is in his closet. Abu Al-Khair Abdul Rahman bin Abi Al-Barakat Abdullah bin Al-Hussein Al-Suwaidi: scholar, jurist, historian, writer, publisher, and writer. He was born in Baghdad, grew up there, and died there. He was buried in Sheikh Marouf Al-Karkhi cemetery. He took knowledge from his father, and from the two sheikhs: Fasih al-Hindi and Yassin al-Hiti. He has a collection of compositions. Translated in: (The Gift of the Knowing, 1: 556), (Al-Misk Al-Adfar, pp. 65-68), (History of Arabic Literature in Iraq, 2: 42, 130, 154-155, 210, 216-218, 284-285, 288, 292-293), (Lughat al-Arab Magazine, 2 [Baghdad - K2 1913] Part 7, pp. 287-280: “Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Suwaidi”: written by Kadhim Al-Dujaili), (Al-A’lam, 4: 87), (Dictionary of Authors, 5: 149), and the references they mentioned regarding him. The investigator said in his introduction in which the first part was issued (pp. 6-7): “As for the author of the book, he is Abu Al-Khair Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah bin Al-Hussein Al-Suwaidi. He was born in addition to the book (The Garden of Al-Zawra)....” This is an illusion, as the author died on the 20th of the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the year 1200 AH, 1 February 1786 AD. Minister Hassan’s term: 1116 - 1136 AH, 1704 - 1723 AD. He is the one who introduced the Mamluk regime in Iraq. He was the one who rebuilt the Sulaymani Mosque in Baghdad, called the Saray Mosque or the New Hassan Pasha Mosque. The locality in which it was located was named after the locality of Jadid Hassan Pasha. See: (Guide to the map of Baghdad, ancient and modern, p. 234). Ahmed’s term: 1136-1160 AH, 1723-1747 AD. And the news of Ahmed Pasha in (“Dohat Al-Wazir,” pp. 30-51, and in various other places). In this “garden”, Al-Suwaidi collected many of his literary works and poetry. The bookshop of Sheikh al-Islam is the library of Arif Hikmat in Medina.

And then: Then the poor servant says to his rich and powerful master, Abu Al-Khair Abdul Rahman bin Sheikh Abdullah bin Al-Hussein bin Mar’i bin Nasser Al-Din, known as Al-Suwaidi: Since the good and perfect conduct of the beloved commander is what hearts find comfort in, and he is the known decider and the understandable editor. In the Haqqanid state and the men of the Ottoman Ilkhanate leadership, there was nothing like the two just and complete viziers: Vizier Hassan Pasha and his son Ahmed Pasha, in terms of their good manners and the navigation of their conduct, so I wanted to mention their conditions in detail and as a complementary group, so that they would be a reminder for every perfect person, and an example for every glorious and virtuous person.
