Notes - The author is a doctor, and he has an authorship. At the beginning of the manuscript are six pages written in Turkish, containing explanations of the composition of medicines, the making of ointments, tablets, and the like. There are nine pages at the end of the manuscript with the same meaning. On the title page, who owns the copy: 1- “This book came into possession with the help of King Al-Wahhab [sic] Mustafa Bey Deddah Al-Mawlawi, may his sins be forgiven.” 2- “Whoever the poor person writes to, may his status be glorified by Omar al-Muttalib al-Sultani.” - A photocopy of a handwritten copy in the library of Yahya Pasha Al-Jalili School in Mosul. (Numbers: Classification 610/HBT, Registration 425, No. 5/D). See: (“Mosul Manuscripts,” p. 236, sequence 161).
Sample Text Basmalah... Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and blessings be upon those of His servants who deserve it, especially upon Muhammad and his family. Al-Hubaish Al-Taflisi said: When I found the consensus of scholars that the easiest and safest way to preserve and restore health is by modifying the six necessary causes, and that the most dangerous path, and the most difficult to reach, is to use medicines, because they are unfamiliar and far from human moods, and in fact contrary to them at most, this motivated me to write a book of skilled sayings from the predecessors and the successors, including knowledge of the laws for modifying the six necessary causes... I called the book: Attaining Health by the Six Reasons, and it includes four messages:
