Praise be to God for what He has bestowed, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family and companions, and after: Jurisprudence is the most noble of sciences in terms of value, the greatest in reward, the highest in rank and the most veiled... And I was when I arrived in explaining treasure to whiten the door to corrupt sales. I wrote a brief book on controls and exceptions to them, I called it Al-Fawa’id al-Zayniyah in jurisprudence. The Hanafi school of thought reached five hundred rules, so I was inspired to write a book in the previous style, including seven arts, of which this author would be the eighth type.
