There was an issue that troubled the jurists of the era, which is that if a non-Muslim pilgrim performing Hajj on behalf of someone else, if he crosses the meeqaat without entering ihram for Hajj, is he in violation or not? So it was said that he is in violation just because of overtaking, so his Hajj is invalidated.
