Notes Its author says: “... This letter was completed on Wednesday afternoon on the twenty-first of Rabi’ Al-Awwal in the year one thousand two hundred and sixty-eight (?) AH... This copy was completed, with the praise and success of God Almighty, on Thursday after the afternoon for twelve (such) nights of Rabi’ Thani (such) in the year 1270, two hundred and seventy-eight, written by... Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Tayeb Al-Tarabulsi.” Its chapters: Chapter One: What is mentioned in the Qur’an and Sunnah regarding urging people to wear beards, explaining its virtue, urging people to abandon it, and explaining the words of the jurists regarding it. Chapter Two: Explaining that the one with a beard is more beautiful in character than the plucked and clean-shaven one. Chapter Three: Explaining the reason for sore throat. Conclusion: What was mentioned in Al-Adhar, such as the similarity of the rhetoricians, the kindnesses of the poets, and the mention of the dates that were said in Al-Muhanna’ in this letter.
Sample Text Praise be to Him who made beards an adornment for men, and a garment of perfection, and may blessings and peace be upon his prophet, his noble noble, his family, his companions, his family, and his party. And after that, since beard-wearing is one of the Sunnahs of the religion and the rituals of the Muslims, and through it a person reaches the position of perfection and is observed with awe and reverence... I began writing this letter and refining this article, in order to clarify the argument for him with proof, and show him the truth in the mirror of the eye.
