Notes An important note in the biographies of scholars: Whenever the author of this footnote uses the word “our sheikh”, he means Sheikh Shihab al-Din Ahmad al-Qalyubi, and “our sheikh” means Sheikh Nur al-Din al-Ziyadi, or “our Sheikh al-Babyloni”, so he means Sheikh Shams al-Din al-Babilli, or “our Sheikh al-Shabramalsi”, so he means Sheikh Nour al-Din Ali al-Shabramalsi, or “our Sheikh the Sultan”, so he means Sheikh Sultan al-Maraqi, or some of them. Our sheikhs, so he means Sheikh Sultan Al-Maraji, or some of our sheikhs, so he means Sheikh Khidr Al-Shoubri, or our sheikhs, so he means all of them, may God be pleased with them all and benefit us through them in this world and the hereafter. Al-Baramawi has a footnote on the explanation of the curriculum by Sheikh al-Islam Zakaria al-Ansari, which is not printed, including a written copy in the Egyptian House of Books No. 30. The author, Burhan al-Din Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Shihab al-Din Ibn Khalid Ahmad Ibn al-Baramawi al-Shafi’i al-Ansari, Sheikh of the Al-Azhar Mosque, and he is the second sheikh of the Al-Azhar Mosque, as he assumed the sheikhship between the years 1101 - 1107 AH, has a footnote on Sharh al-Ghaya by Ibn Qasim al-Ghazi (who is The manuscript in our hands.
Sample Text In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and in Him is my trust. Praise be to God, who made understanding the religion one of the most important goals, rewarded the scholars with success for goodness and obedience, and endowed them with knowledge in the science of jurisprudence. Because it is one of the greatest missions, and it increased their virtue and honor for His religion, so they became in the highest ranks.. As for what follows: When my son Ahmed was among those whom God Almighty has enabled to engage in knowledge, and he was starting out in what God loved for him, reading and studying Sharh al-Ghaya by the scholar Al-Ghazi, he asked me to dictate to him a nice footnote that he would benefit from.
