Praise be to God, who has made us the best of nations... For the clearest of axioms in law, and the clearest of certainties in reason, is that the world is fleeting, and the last garment of man is shrouds, and that uniting from it was a promise that would come, and drinking from the cup of death was inevitably destined. Its beginning is weakness and apathy, and its end is death and graves. It is an abode of hypocrisy and discord, and a place of crossing and separation.
