Praise be to the one who bestowed upon us the rulings, and who kindly explained what is permissible, what is doubtful, and what is forbidden... And then the poor servant of God’s hidden kindness, Abu Al-Ikhlas, Hasan Al-Sharnabulali Al-Wafa’i Al-Hanafi, says:... There have been many questions about the saying of the one who said: What is forbidden is not transferred to two people, and attributed it to the doctrine of the greatest Imam Abu Hanifa Zain Al-Tabi’in... So I wrote down what he had to respond to that unjust claimer, from the noble verses and the Sunnah. Al-Sharifa, and issues of jurisprudence, a masterpiece by the nobles and its title: “Preserving the two minor ones from the belief of those who claim that the forbidden does not exceed two obligations.”
