Praise be to God, who created, made himself equal, and destined, and guided, and made sick and healed, and may God’s blessings be upon the Master of Messengers, Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his family and pure companions... He does not spend his life except on the matters most important to him, and he does not spend his time except on what is most accustomed to him, such as the good of this world and the hereafter, and the upbuilding of his present and future... This sentence is that the servant loves to serve the treasures of emulated wisdom, may God exalt his status, with the necessary amount of medical knowledge, dispensing with the lengthiness of doctors and their books written in it, which is the knowledge of managing diseases.
