The author was born in the year 634 AH/1236 AD in Shiraz and has a lineage. His father was a doctor, so he read to him and he read to al-Tusi. He entered the Romans and became governor of Shiwas and Malatya. He visited the Levant, then lived in Tabriz and died there. He was an interpreter, jurist, and physician involved in some sciences. Among his works are: Taj al-Ulum, Explanation of the Faculties of Law in Medicine by Ibn Sina, Miftah al-Muftah fi al-Balagha, Sharh al-Asrar by Suhrawardi, Insight into the Body, and Nihayat al-Iqraq in Dirayah.
