Notes The origin of the book is by Ptolemy in Greek, and this copy is a translation of it into Arabic. It is not mentioned in it or in the sources who translated it, except that it is believed that its translator is Ibn Sina. Because it was mentioned at the beginning of the collection that it contains books and letters by Ibn Sina, and the book has been explained, and one of its commentators is Ahmed bin Yusuf Al-Hasib, whose words were quoted after the letter attached to it, and at the end there is an addition connected to the text. There are one hundred chapters in this translation. Each chapter of the text has its own number in a red font, with corrections in the margins, and then two blank pages.
Sample Text The Book of Fruit by Ptolemy on rulings, which has one hundred chapters. Ptolemy said: The knowledge of the stars is from you and from them, and the one who knows them does not have to be concerned with the personal form of the action, just as the sense does not accept the personal form of the sensible, but he accepts a form that agrees with it in gender. This is the case of the one who determined the element and its manner, for he cannot indicate the form that is in the subject.
