Notes
The author was born and raised in Andalusia in Badajoz in the year 444 AH/1025 AD, and moved to Valencia where he resided and died there. He wrote many books, including: Questions and Answers, Al-Isaf fi Al-Ansaf fi Al-Na’iyyah on the Reasons That Necessitated Disagreement, Triangles of Qatrub, Explanation of the Fall of the Zend, Al-Hulal in Explanation of Verses of Sentences, and others. In this book, he explains the book of literary literature by Abu Muhammad Abdullah bin Muslim, known as Ibn Qutaybah, who died in the year 276 AH / 889 AD, arranged by the author into three parts. The first part: explaining the sermon and what is related to it, including mentioning the types of writers and their instruments. The second part: In pointing out what the writer of the book or those transmitting it made mistakes. Part Three: Explanation of his verses.
